Since the famous political handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga, the relationship between Jubilee politicians has been windy rocked by strong waves of turbulence.
Jubilee politicians who largely came from defunct TNA and URP have been at self-war despite serving the same masters.
Maybe it is this reason, Deputy President William Ruto who has been believed to be the biggest casualty, is thinking of a key political move suppose he missed on Jubilee ticket come 2022 elections.
“If I will not be the flag bearer, I will support the person who the Jubilee Party members choose as their presidential candidate. It is not a must I be the candidate,” Ruto said during the interview with Kameme FM
The DP also said that the famous ‘Kieleweke’ faction was using President Kenyatta’s title to cause war with him
“They keep saying that they’ve been sent by the president and are speaking on his behalf. But between me and them who is the president likely to send?” he posed.
DP Ruto said that he trust in Kenyans during the 2022 elections.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta and I are in Jubilee and we are delivering. We are now in exams and Kenyans will mark the test come 2022 that is why I’m moving in all parts of the country initiating development projects,” he said.
On the referendum, he said that he will support a move that seeks to improve the lives of Kenyans.
“I’m not opposing Constitutional change but I will only be involved if the referendum agenda will be based on improving the livelihood of 45 plus million Kenyans and not to the interest of few self-centered politicians,” he said.
