Police have issued a warning towards men who would like to party in Murang’a town after new gang of ‘beautiful’ women are said to be on loose for the reason of stealing valuables from their targeted men.
Atleast 10 men have been reported to be victims in last months alone.
The ladies who are said to be new in town, are targeting men who have cars or national government employees, senior policemen and bankers among others.
Victims account that the women approach them in pretense of being lonely or lost, only to seduce them, drug and take off with their valuables.
Single men who take them to their house only wake up to find their house valuables such as electronics missing.
“I was in my third beer when a lady asked whether she could join me. I bought her two beers. She said she was in town to visit a friend who had not shown up but decided to wait in the club since she was new in the area,” said a one of the recent victims.
The unfortunate man took the lady to his house, where she cooked him a meal, moments after eating, he fell dizzy only to wake up hours later with his valuables missing.
Another victim narrated that he was asked a ride by a woman he met at the club, the woman while on their way home, tricked him to take an energy drink she had bought on grounds that it will lower down alcohol level.
The man fell asleep and only to wake with empty pockets, he had to take a loan to regain his economic status.
A doctor based in Murang’a who has treated several victims of spiked drinks, says that the drug the henious ladies use is a very powerful aesthetic when mixed with alcohol.
“The drugs are very dangerous especially when mixed with alcohol since when combined they have a powerful anaesthetic effect,” Mr Humphrey Gikonyo told the Nation
Murang’a Bar Owners Association through their chairperson has asked partakers to be vigilant, while local police have asked victims to record statements so that they can act.
