When Daniel Mwaura, conductor of KCC 997E (Fagal Maggy) operating between Gachie and Nairobi 108 Ganaki sacco, saw a client’s wallet containing ksh 30,000 ,he did not think twice.
He knew the wallet had an owner and needed to be returned.
Which he humbly ensured that it was handed back while it was still intact as it was.
Besides it had other valuables such as personal documents.
There has been a self-propelled wave of change in the matatu industry as more matatu drivers and touts reform to sanity.
Barely weeks ago, another matatu crew (pictured above) rescued a passenger who was in labour.
What makes many Nairobians happy is the fact that these stories are increasingly becoming popular, to the fact that they are inspiring other touts to join the winds of change and reforms.
Kudos to such warm hearted matatu crews!
