WhatsApp is one of the most used applications in the world and this has grown in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With people confined to their homes, WhatsApp is one of the most effective ways to maintain contact with loved ones, but also with colleagues at work or study.

The Facebook app is quick and easy to use, but you may eventually experience that its performance is not the best or that everything takes longer than usual. If this happens to you, it may mean that you need to free up some space in your cache. Cache is the space in which apps store temporary data, and when it accumulates in quantity, it can slow down your phone.

In iOS you cannot delete the cache from the settings.

In Android you must enter the System Settings. In the Applications option, you must choose WhatsApp. Once there, you must choose the Storage option and press the button that indicates Empty Cache memory.

On iOS you can’t delete the cache from the settings, but this doesn’t mean you can’t do it anyway. You must manage the files sent and received chat by chat from Storage Use. It can be a bit more cumbersome, but you can even use the empty chat option if you have one with a lot of content.
