Humbling Photos Of 24 Year Linet Toto, Bomet Women Rep

On 14th April in 2022, Linet Chepkorir aka Toto shocked Kenyans when she floored political big wigs in

Bomet county to become the UDA Women Rep flag bearer ahead of August Elections.

Linet now all she wanted to win an election in Bomet, a stronghold of UDA party and a play ground for Presidential candidate DP William Ruto.

She won with 53,934 votes, followed by Eunice Benson 27,711, Stacey Chepkemoi 26,808, Beatrice Tonui 20,495, Cecilia Mutai 16,644, Susan Koech 12,410 and Brenda Chepngetich 11,901.

Here are interesting facts you need to know about Linet Chepkorir Toto

  1. Linet Toto was born in 1998 and at the time she received her UDA nomination, she was barely 24 years old ahead of August General Elections
  2. She began her education at Chemamun nursery school and proceeded to Kapsimbiri Primary School.
  3. She then attended both Kapsimbiri (form 1 and 2) and Siwot secondary schools.
  4. The 3rd born in a family of 7 was born a leader and was the school’s head girl in primary school.
  5. Chepkorir went on to become a class representative in junior classes and ultimately became the school president in form 4.
  6. In 2021, she graduated at  Chuka University with a degree in procurement.
  7. At that time, she was the youngest candidate to receive a nomination certificate from a strong party in its stronghold area.
  8. Linet Toto was eyeing the UDA ticket in the race for Bomet woman representative seat
  9. In early 2021, Toto shot to fame when she turned up at Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen residence for aspirants meeting.
  10. She would later gain popularity when she was allowed to address  a crowd during Ruto’s rally at Bomet Green stadium
  11. Yet in 2021 November, DP Ruto’s security had blocked Toto from an aspirants’ meeting claiming that she was an intruder judging from her simple ‘inexpensive’ dress.
