Do you want to be a part of the movement to ensure peaceful elections? Are you passionate about politics and want youth and other Kenyan citizens to be informed? Then consider applying to be a Kenyan Kwanza Campaign Coordinator!
Kenyan Kwanza (Kenyan First) is a campaign facilitated by Integrated Initiatives for Community Empowerment to ensure that accurate and unbiased information about the various political parties is shared with voters so that they make the right decision for them. Kenyan Kwanza will work to break down the barriers to peaceful elections, which have included tribal and other affiliations in the past, and to focus on the fact that most importantly, citizens are Kenyan Kwanza first and foremost.
A total of 10 Campaign Coordinators will be selected to help develop profiles of all of the registered political parties and to research and obtain accurate and unbiased information about the parties to be placed on the Kenyan Kwanza party profile portal. The Campaign Coordinators will make contact with representatives from the parties to ensure that the platform is accurately shared, and that all publication of materials and information is correct in order to allow for visitors of the portal to make informed, educated decisions on which party to support.
Selected Campaign Coordinators will earn a one-time payment of 10,000 KES after completing all of the outlined responsibilities and duties to the satisfaction of IICEP.
Qualities of Ideal Campaign Coordinators:
unbiased,
not affiliated outright with any political party,
must not be running for office,
between the ages of 18-25,
willing to reach out to representatives of parties and collect and organize research in a truthful and timely manner,
able to communicate effectively,
access (and know-how) of/to a reliable computer/internet,
and must be a Kenyan citizen in good standing
There is a mandatory training held in Nairobi for which you will need to make arrangements to attend on your own accord (no transportation or other fees or stipends). More information on the training will be provided to selected Coordinators.
