At a time when Chelsea dressing room needs the much needed motivation, is when the news of the legendary defender John Terry leaving the club have been announced.
A defeat at Manchester United and at Crystal Palace has let Antonio Conte , Chelsea head coach, admitting that the race to the title was now a 50-50 issue.
The news of John Terry, rather betrays the much needed comfort the players need. It is a psychological distraction on the title focus, which looks far much away despite the fact that not more than 6 games are left in hand.
They could have let the news come out at the end of the season, which is just weeks away.
The most disheartening thing, is the fact that Terry is leaving to unknown club, I could have let him safe if he was retiring.

Gary Neville, an EPL Pundit agrees with the simple notion.
“It may be a distraction for the dressing room, the club and the fans will be sad today especially after the big game they lost yesterday. Maybe he’s signed a pre-agreement with somebody and they couldn’t keep it quiet any longer.
“They haven’t kept a clean sheet for quite a bit now and I think he could be quite useful for them.
“If they needed someone with experience in this last month to get them over the line, he might be the man they need to call on.
