This was after European media reported that he has been in talks with new Red Devil’s manager, Jose Mourinho to talk about transfer possibilities.
According to Daily Express, Mourinho was handed 200 million euros for his transfer kitty and could be making a move for the Belgian play maker who flourished under his charge while at Chelsea.
Hazard however went through a season of non-performance after Mourninho left which gave rise to speculation for the past few months that Chelsea was looking to offload him.
Other clubs interested in Hazard are Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain.
Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December, 2015, having seen the then defending premier league champions start the season poorly which left the club staring at relegation.
There were reports of player mutiny in the dressing room, something that saw Chelsea lose games to a number of clubs.
Mourinho helped Chelsea win the premier league in his second season of his second spell at Stamford Bridge.
He is considered the most successful manager in the club’s history.
