KBC’s anchor Gladys Mungai is happy after walking live from a heinous road accident in January 2021.
The accident happened at Makuyu area as she was rushing to cover President Uhuru Kenyatta’s event at Sagana State Lodge.
Witnesses said that she hit road barriers after she avoided crashing into an oncoming lorry.
She was quickly rushed into the nearby hospital where she received treatment.
‘I was trying to avoid coming head on with a lorry and my car hit the barriers, it then rolled down a cliff. But people reacted first, they found a way of getting me out the car faster and I thank God to be alive. My sister arrived at the scene on time and took me to the hospital.” Mungai told local news.
The KBC news anchor was admitted at Outspan Hospital where she was checked, given first aid and discharged. She proceeded to Sagana Lodge to cover Uhuru’s caucus with Mt Kenya Governors.
