- 660,204 candidates sat the examination.
- 338,628 were male and 321,576 were female, representing 51.29% and 48.71% of the total candidature respectively.
- 1,499 candidates with special needs sat the 2018 KCSE compared to 1,407 in 2017.
- 315 candidates scored an A plain in the 2018 KCSE
- 90,377 candidates scored C+ and above
- 2018 KCSE examinations were free of any leakage
- Results of about 100 students were cancelled
- There were 10, 078 examination centres across the country.
- 18 counties had more females than male compared to 17 counties last year.
