Judith Wandera was sentenced to 15 years in prison after she was found guilty of having sex with a 16 year old boy by a court in Kisumu.
The woman aged 24 years old admitted to having had sex with the minor on several occasions.
In Kenya, having sex with underage partners is prohibited under the sexual offence act.
In her defence, the accused stated that the minor had abused drugs, had dreadlocks and was a boda boda rider which made it difficult of identifying whether he was a minor or not.
The court listened to that but found her guilty of not bothering to find out whether he was an adult or not.
She was sentenced to 15 years in jail.An issue that has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

The High Court in Kisumu ought to exercise its Supervisory Powers & call for the file of Judith Wandera jailed for 15 yrs for sleeping with a BIG 16 yr old Boy-Man for purpose of satisfying itself as to the correctness, legality or propriety of the sentence & acquit her.
