Kenyan musician and businessman KRG the Don, whose real name is Karuga Kimani, has revealed that he has shifted his focus from chasing clout to more meaningful pursuits. KRG, who has been relatively silent on social media for a while, finally addressed his absence. He shared that he has chosen to step away from online feuds and clout-chasing, instead prioritizing his personal growth, family, and political aspirations.

“Mimi niko kwa ground living life on land not online anymore and attending to important matters. Time ya clout chasing ndio sina kabisa in 2025,” KRG wrote in a recent Instagram post.

The musician, who was once a dominant figure in Kenya’s entertainment industry, had built a reputation for his extravagant lifestyle and bold statements. However, he now emphasizes that he is done engaging in conflicts that do not concern him.

“I don’t fight battles I don’t know anything about. I am past that life. I love it simple and quiet these days,” he added.

KRG had previously announced his decision to step away from music and entertainment to focus on politics. He revealed that he enjoyed his time in the limelight but is now redirecting his energy to more impactful endeavors. His main focus is now on his family, business ventures, and political ambitions.

One of his most talked-about statements was his advice to men earning less than KSh 100,000, encouraging them to focus on financial growth instead of relationships.
