In 2021 May, Kenyan actress Njeri Makena broke the odds and came out as a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.
“I remember for the first time in my life after very many years, I looked at the mirror and said to myself ‘I am gay, I am unique and this is my truth’,” she said while speaking on TedX Parklands.
CEO and Founder of Bold Network Africa Makena Njeri has been leaving a life close to that of a man, despite having a female gender.
Previously she had been spotted by fellow media personalaty Michelle Ntalami.
Makena came to the news and became a house hold name for Kenya during her days at Tahidi High, a popular TV drama then on Citizen TV.
