Man Buys 28 Electric Cars Due To “Accident” In Germany

A German who wanted to replace his old car with a Tesla Model 3 ended up buying 28 units of this electronic car due to a mistake by the company’s online shopping platform, the man’s are reported through a publication on Reddit.

According to the story shared on the social network, the family was looking to change the Ford Kuga car they had at that time, and taking advantage of the aid offered by the German government for the purchase of an electric car, they opted for the Tesla model.

However, when trying to make the purchase, an error on the Tesla website made it impossible to formalize “due to a payment problem (or something like that)”, despite the fact that all the data had been entered correctly, notes the publication. In the face of this setback, frustrated buyers tried 27 more times, the RT portal quoted.

Two hours after trying to acquire the vehicle for the first time, in attempt number 28, they were finally able to make the purchase. However, to their surprise on each of the occasions an order had been generated, from which they received no notification about it.

Therefore, the final order was for 28 units of Tesla Model 3 for a value of $ 58,473 each, which added up to a total account of $ 1,574,298 million, which included a non-refundable fee of $ 112 per car. .

However, the incident was reported to Tesla’s Customer Service Department and, after they explained the situation, the company decided to cancel the entire order for free.
