Microsoft has made circus, rope and theater to update to Windows 10; But things have not gone according to plan.
Many people are clinging to previous systems; such is the case of version 8 / 8.1 of the operating system.
What should they do in such cases? Oblige them to update.
The store has little time left to live. As of October 31 of this year; developers will no longer be able to send apps for the store in XAP and APPX packages (for 8 / 8.1).
Although the apps in these packages that had entered the store before this date; They will continue existing there and they will continue to be updated but only for a while.
On July 1, 2019, updates for these applications will no longer be received. And after that, everything calm until 2023.
On July 1 of that year; Windows 8 / 8.1 apps will no longer be available.
As of 2023, all developers must transfer their apps to UWP (Universal Windows Platform).
So obviously; Microsoft’s recommendation is that; please update your computer to latest version of Windows 10, and if it’s too old for this; buy a new one before 2023.
