Popular Kenyan content creators Milly Chebby and Terence Creative have addressed a betrayal within their circle, calling out a former friend for spreading falsehoods about them. Milly, a well-known digital creator and mother of one, revealed that she had received three separate calls about an ongoing smear campaign against her.

Milly Chebby Speaks Out on Friendship Betrayal

In a candid discussion, Milly lamented that a former friend had been badmouthing her whenever their mutual influencer friends associated with her. She made it clear that despite drifting apart from some people, it did not mean they had become enemies.

“We have evolved. We only take what is good. If we fall out, it does not mean we are enemies. There is just one person who has been going around talking ill about me. If someone posts me, they have an opinion. If we fell out, we are not enemies. It’s just that we are no longer dining on the same table,” Milly stated.

Terence Creative Warns Against Fake Friends

Her husband, comedian Terence Creative, echoed her sentiments and emphasized that friendships should be built on loyalty. He pointed out that jealousy often creeps in when one friend progresses in life, leading to resentment and unhealthy competition.

“Friendships do not start with a purpose, but purpose aligns over time. If someone is your true friend, even if there is jealousy, they won’t act on it. Some friends, however, start belittling your success. This year, we are not wasting time—if it is love, we see it from the surface; if it is hate, we see it from far,” Terence said.

He also issued a stern warning to the friend spreading rumors, urging them to keep their past secrets private.

“Stop the smear campaign. If we were friends, protect me as I protect you. When we part ways, what was a secret should remain a secret. Be careful—if they are bringing you my gossip today, they will do the same to you tomorrow,” he cautioned.

Milly and Jackie Matubia’s Alleged Rift

Milly’s statements come amid speculation about her fallout with actress Jackie Matubia. Observant fans noticed a strain in their friendship after Jackie failed to attend Milly’s wedding. Jackie hinted at being badmouthed as the reason for their rift, though Milly and Terence later dismissed these claims.

Despite the challenges, Milly and Terence remain focused on their work, urging fans to choose their friends wisely and steer clear of toxic relationships.
