Miss University Kenya 2025, Pearl Rowe, has officially been sent to represent Kenya at the upcoming World Miss University pageant in Cambodia. The send-off was officiated by Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Rebecca Miano, who expressed full support for Rowe’s mission to promote Kenya’s tourism and cultural heritage on a global stage.
The event took place on Tuesday, October 28, at CS Miano’s office. Rowe received official blessings to act as Kenya’s tourism ambassador during the pageant, scheduled for December 17, 2025. CS Miano emphasized that Rowe’s participation aligns with the government’s strategy to showcase Kenya’s cultural diversity, wildlife conservation efforts, and tourist destinations.
Pearl Rowe, 23, is a fourth-year Computer Science student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Her combination of academic excellence and cultural poise positions her as a strong representative for Kenya. During the pageant, she will highlight Kenya’s traditional attire, arts, music, and natural landscapes to a global audience.
CS Miano praised Rowe’s role, stating that she represents the modern face of Kenya. Miano said Rowe’s journey is a national project in cultural diplomacy and expressed confidence in her ability to inspire global interest in Kenya.
Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamita, who accompanied Rowe during the courtesy call, noted that the beauty queen embodies Kenya’s youthful brilliance and cultural pride. He added that her international representation reflects the country’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of ambassadors.
Pearl Rowe’s appointment demonstrates the government’s focus on leveraging cultural and tourism platforms to strengthen Kenya’s international profile. Her participation in the World Miss University pageant offers a unique opportunity to promote Kenya as a leading destination for eco-tourists and cultural travelers.
CS Miano, ranked as the top-performing Cabinet Secretary in President William Ruto’s administration, continues to lead initiatives that connect Kenya’s tourism agenda with youth empowerment and global representation. Pearl Rowe’s journey to Cambodia is expected to boost Kenya’s visibility and reinforce its reputation as a nation rich in culture, wildlife, and innovation.
