Employees of a money lending firm recently stopped a flashy Member of Parliament outside a city hotel, kicked him out of his VX Land Cruiser and took off with the car.
The first-time MP, Power Play learnt, had failed to pay a loan he had borrowed from the firm. He was left stranded outside the hotel with his wife, driver and son.
The embarrassed MP tried pleading with the rough debt collectors but they refused to listen to him and sped off with the car.
A little bird whispered to us that the legislator had used the Land Cruiser’s logbook to borrow a few millions.
The flashy first-time legislator is known as ‘Mr Moneybags’ and usually drinks not less than Sh100,000 at a high-end pub along Lenana Road.
