Lifestyle influencer Murugi Munyi has paid tribute to her partner for embracing fatherhood in her son’s life. She described his presence as a blessing and shared touching throwback and recent photos showing their bond.

On Thursday, August 21, Murugi posted side-by-side images of her husband with her son. The first photo showed the two when her son was just a young boy, smiling warmly at the camera. The latest photo revealed how much he has grown, now almost matching his stepdad’s height.

In her caption, Murugi reflected on their journey together. She wrote that her husband came into their lives when her son Ethan was six years old. Nearly a decade later, she said he has been the best father figure she could have asked for. She proudly described him as “the dad who stepped up.”

Fans flooded her comments with praise. Many single mothers expressed admiration, with some praying for a partner who would love and raise their children the same way. Others highlighted the rare dedication of men who willingly take on the role of fatherhood for children they did not biologically father.

One user commented that there is a special place in heaven for men who step into such roles. Another wrote that Murugi’s family photos gave them hope to start again despite fears of dating as a single mother. Several fans even noted that her son and husband now resemble each other.

The post quickly turned into a celebration of fatherhood, with many Kenyans commending men who love and raise children as their own. It also sparked conversations about blended families and the importance of presence over blood ties.

In a lighter moment, Murugi recently admitted she has never cooked ugali, one of Kenya’s most common dishes. She revealed this while showcasing a kitchen appliance designed to make ugali preparation easier, explaining that it would help whenever her husband craved the meal. The confession amused fans, while others criticized her for not knowing how to make the dish despite her Kikuyu heritage.

Murugi Munyi’s heartfelt tribute not only honored her husband but also resonated with many families navigating similar paths, reinforcing the value of love, commitment, and fatherhood beyond biology.
