On 19th June 2019, former presidential aspirant Jaffer Isaak Sora was arrested by police in Marsabit for being in possession of 445 kilograms of bhang.
According to the Eastern region police boss Esther Kihiko, the 45 year old Mr. Sora was ferrying the illegal drug in his Toyota Prado believed to be from Ethiopia.
Police indicate that he refused to stop when he approached a traffic police block on Wednesday night.
He was however arrested and his vehicles towed to Marsabit Police Station where they found the drugs stashed in the car trailer.
He had a chilling post before his arrest.
“Covered many counties in Kenya just arrived home to be with family for 2 days before I get going to meet more people.”
Saro will be arraigned in court on Thursday, June 20.
