Veteran actress and content creator Nyaboke Moraa has recently shared her deeply personal story about the immense grief and heartbreak she has faced in 2024. Over the course of this year, Nyaboke experienced a series of painful losses in her family, including the death of her eldest daughter, Marie Achieng, who passed away at the age of 19 in July. Prior to this tragic event, she had also lost her niece and brother, leaving her grappling with the weight of multiple family tragedies.

However, it was not just these losses that weighed heavily on Nyaboke. The content creator opened up about a more personal betrayal—her ex-partner abandoning her during this difficult time. According to Nyaboke, her relationship took a turn when her ex was influenced by his friends to distance himself from her. She shared her shock at his reaction to the ongoing losses in her life, revealing that he left because he couldn’t handle the constant grief surrounding her.

In an emotional post on Instagram, Nyaboke reflected on the pain of imagining a future with someone who would later walk away when times became tough. “When I imagine there is a man I was planning a life with, then after seeing I was losing so many people, ran away because his friends told him to avoid me. I was very surprised,” she wrote. She also hinted at plans for a wedding, jokingly inviting people to her supposed ceremony in August to “make sure they are on the list.”

The post sparked a flurry of reactions from social media users. Many rallied around Nyaboke, expressing their disbelief at her ex’s actions, while others encouraged her to move on and focus on healing. One user, @Nyong’o Sheila, remarked, “Kwani ni yeye ndiye anawaua? Wanaume wengine aki,” questioning whether her ex thought he had caused the deaths. @Ash added, “Men always choose their happiness. Kazi ya wasichana ni kukwamilia shida” while @Karol responded with, “He didn’t deserve you girl,” offering support for her to move forward.

Nyaboke’s Relationship with Her Sons Amid Grief

In the midst of her emotional struggles, Nyaboke’s children have been a source of comfort. The actress shared how her sons have been consistently checking in on her, ensuring she has everything she needs as she navigates the overwhelming grief of losing her daughter. Her youngest son even made a surprise appearance during a live video, introducing himself and playfully asking viewers if they had gifted his mother for her 40th birthday.

Despite the heartbreak, Nyaboke continues to show strength, relying on her close-knit family for support. As her story unfolds, many have been moved by her resilience and ability to cope with both loss and betrayal.

As Nyaboke moves forward, her supporters encourage her to find peace and focus on her well-being. Her candidness about the challenges she faces has resonated with many, especially those who have gone through similar struggles. The reactions from netizens also highlight the importance of emotional support during times of personal hardship, and Nyaboke’s openness in sharing her journey serves as a reminder to prioritize mental health amidst life’s toughest challenges.
