Red Cross Kenya confirmed that one person had died and eight people rescued from an eight-storey building which collapsed at Barani area in Malindi.
The building also is said to have collapsed on three other buildings near it.
Heavy rains which have descended on the coastal regions have been largely blamed to be a major cause for the collapsed of the building which was still under construction
