Endless cries of a one year baby led to the discovery of a dead woman in Bamburi, Mombasa town in what police suspected to have been a suicide case.
Neigbours suspected that the endless wailing of the toddler was as a result of the pain his mum , Jackline Ngugi had gone through when she was committing suicide.
The body of the 28 year old Ms Ngugi was found hanging under the fan in her house on the night of Wednesday 8th August.
Ms.Ngugi who police say lived alone for the last three years, left behind a suicide note.
“God forgive me. This was not my will neither my wish. Fight for my blood God. Watch over my son. I have taken my life. Mum forgive me, I did not want any of this to happen to me. Take care of my son. God be the judge and fight for my innocent blood. If they drove me to this be the judge,” reads the note.
As for Mombasa police commander Johnston Ipara , investigation is on to establish the cause of her death
“We are yet to establish whether she was hanged or she killed herself. Investigation are on and we will get more information as we continue to gather details on the incident,” Mr Ipara said
