The recent privacy attacks and corruption allegations from Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko with Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris seems it will not be settled without a court process.
When MP Passaris jetted in the country from Canada, she vowed to put Governor Sonko in his place by taking a legal action towards his recent public attacks on Passaris.
“I cannot defend the rights of other women if I cannot defend myself. This time I’m not letting it go, I will use every single rule and law to ensure that this is the last time that somebody uses falsehood to bring down a woman leader,” Passaris said.
To fight back Sonko, Passaris said she will visit the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC), the office of National Cohesion and the National Commission for Women(NCW).
“I have chosen to act with integrity and follow and respect the Constitution. I will not go down that route,” she said.
Recently Sonko accused her of soliciting of more than 10 million shillings for sexual favors, as well as demanding double payment from the county and National Government for her air ticket to USA.
