Patient Hit On Thika Road As Striking Nurses Let Loose 81 Patients From Mathare Mental Hospital

Striking nurses working at Mathare Mental Hospital in Nairobi let loose 81 patients, which caused an accident to one of the patients who survived with facial injuries.

Police report that 71 patients were successfully recaptured while 10 are still on the loose.

The police investigation unit are treating the case as a crime offense and the nurses involved will be availed in court for prosecution

  1. A group of nurses came to the hospital in pretext that they were here to provide medical assistance to the patients, only to lead their escape in different directions, a police report noted.
