Kenyan content creator Presenter Kai has once again captured the attention of social media users with his latest viral skit — and this time, even Jamaican superstar Shenseea noticed.
In the widely shared video, Presenter Kai visited Kiambu town with his signature headphones and a playful challenge: ask random passersby to sing along to Shenseea’s viral hit Hit and Run. One unsuspecting Kenyan man accepted the challenge — but his hilarious attempt at the song’s lyrics has now earned global attention.
As the video circulated on various platforms, it eventually caught the eye of Shenseea herself. Amused by the man’s butchered version of her song, she reposted the clip on her Instagram and quipped: “I’m suing y’all. Lol.”
The man’s rendition went something like this: “Letukite mafeelings megi a hit and lun. Ma yut me na lyf nobody I pray somebody keep your company….. to a tinky nation… letikito mafeelings.”
Clearly a far cry from Shenseea’s original lyrics: “Mi gi’ yuh a hit and run (Run). Mi gi’ yuh a hit and run (Move)… Mi did only want likkle dealings (Yeah)…”
Kenyans quickly flooded the comments, distancing themselves from the man in good fun. Many cheekily claimed he must be Tanzanian, not Kenyan: “I promise you this one is from Tanzania.” “This is my neighbour Abdalla here in Tanzania.” “At least he knows some English like saying ‘nobodyyy’!”
Presenter Kai has built a massive online following thanks to his lighthearted and creative skits, many of which revolve around music. Known for his on-the-street challenges, he often tests whether everyday Kenyans really know the lyrics to their favourite songs — with frequently hilarious results.
The Hit and Run video is just the latest example of his knack for viral content that bridges local humour with international pop culture.
The viral moment comes not long after Shenseea visited Kenya for the Raha Fest concert. While her show faced challenges — including crowd disruptions that forced an early end to her performance — the Jamaican star has maintained her warm connection with Kenyan fans.
In fact, Shenseea has expressed a desire to deepen her spiritual journey in 2025 and hinted at a possible return to Kenya for another show.
The skit highlights the power of social media to bring cultures together through humour. From the streets of Kiambu to Shenseea’s Instagram, a simple moment of fun became an international talking point — and gave both Kenyans and Jamaicans a good laugh.
With Presenter Kai continuing to churn out viral content, and Shenseea showing her good-natured humour, fans can look forward to more such cross-cultural exchanges lighting up their feeds.
