Governor Mike Sonko suspended Pumwani hospital superintendent and doctor in-charge after power was switched off in new born unit.
Hon.Sonko had made an impromptu visit on Monday 17th of September using a boda boda before the shocking revelations were made.
Those who were suspended were Hospital superintendent Dr. Catherine Mutinda, Dr. James Kamau the obstetrician gynecologist ,hospital administator Zadock Angahya.
The hospital’s entire board were also sent packing.
Sonko who had paid unexpected visit to the facility discovered 12 babies stacked in nylons hidden in a corner.
The baby unit machines are believed to have been switched off by the hospital management
