Global platform Nairobi is one of Action Aid’s training hub for empowerment and activism in Kenya that offers trainings for young people to develop skills and be global change makers.
The youths should get to know how to use #socialmedia in making a change and not just for leisure #socialmediatr

Social media trainees at Global Platform Nairobi had an excursion at PAWA254,a hub for visual creatives, journalists and activists across Kenya .PAWA254 stands for Power in swahili language and 254 to represent the country code for national unity (Kenya).
What do we do with 72 minutes on a social media excursion? Facebook,Tweet,doubletap..oh well, our lead trainer Asha Jaffar ; Award winning Journalist, ushers us into Pawa254.At the entrance,we meet the manager Mrs.Njeri,a soft spoken beautiful lady who welcome the social media team to the impressive PAWA254 platform at the rooftop of the building, quite a cool and artistic place.
Currently @Pawa254 with @bonifacemwangi : take your stand in your area of focus @YouthVillageKE @GPNairobi @Coll_Odhiambo #SocialMediaTR

Mrs.Njeri introduced the SM team to what is PAWA254,what they do,why they do it,their target audience and various inspiring activities.PAWA254 offers a platform to help others build on and develop their presentation skills, as well as bring up brilliant, quick-thinking and concise individuals who have the courage to mould their ideas, share their ideas and fight for their ideas for a better Kenya. We were able to watch a video clip showing artists perform their work and the impact of their work to the society.
Thanks @bonifacemwangi for inspiring our participants from @GPNairobi this afternoon at @Pawa254 . Asante sana #SocialMediaTR
