We are looking for a driven Volunteer Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities through our various social media accounts.
Our goal is to increase our reach and support base by interacting and attracting a larger online audience.
The goal is to gradually achieve superior supporter intimacy, website traffic and larger donor base by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
As an organisation which is run 100% by volunteers, we are looking for a Volunteer Social Media Specialist who can help lead IWI while ensuring we remain true to our mission and goals.
Responsibilities
▪ Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
▪ Manage our social media accounts while posting new content and interacting with our audience that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
▪ Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
▪ Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
▪ Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
▪ Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation and coordinate actions
Requirements
▪ Proven working experience in social media or related field
▪ Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text) and communication skills
▪ Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
▪ Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
▪ Positive attitude, detail and online supporter oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability
▪ Fluency in English
▪ Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
▪ Attention to detail and problem solving skills
▪ Discretion and confidentiality
