Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has picked a shock running mate, Polycarp Igathe, the current managing director at Vivo Energy.
Mr. Igathe is the son to business tycoon Chris Kirubi. His limelight will now surface as Sonko gears to battle it out against Miguna Miguna and Kidero Evans.
Jimna Mbaru, Chris Kirubi were some of the bigwigs who rejected Sonko’s job for a running mate. But Sonko seems to have a soft spot for the son to Kirubi.
Sonko won the Jubilee nomination after a landslide win over Peter Kenneth.
