Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has recently revealed that he has been the victim of infidelity in multiple romantic relationships, with the number reaching a staggering ten times. In an open and candid interview, the artist, best known for his hit song Ndio Maanake, shared his experiences of heartbreak and disappointment, leading him to vow to remain single for at least another year.

Stevo explained that his past relationships have left him feeling disillusioned with love, as he believes loyalty is becoming a rare quality. Reflecting on the betrayals, he shared, “Mambo na mapenzi nimechorea mpaka 2026. Siku hizi hakuna mwaminifu, wacha nibaki single. Niko soko,” which translates to, “I’m done with relationships until 2026. There is no loyalty these days, let me stay single. I’m available.”

Stevo also detailed one of his most painful experiences, where a woman he had feelings for deceived him. “Alinandanya ananipenda kumbe ako na mtu,” he said, meaning, “She lied to me that she loved me, but she was already with someone else.” This betrayal, among others, has made him wary of relationships, and he believes women often prioritize money over loyalty.

When asked about his ideal type of woman, Stevo admitted that he is hesitant to define one. “Type siwezi sema because hata nikisema hawawezi kuja,” he said, suggesting that even if he described his ideal partner, she wouldn’t likely come forward. He also shared that he once spent KSh 2,000 on a woman as a loyalty test, saying, “Nilikuwa namjaribu kama ako mwaminifu,” which means, “I was testing if she was loyal.”

Despite his disillusionment, Stevo still has a clear idea of what makes a woman loyal. He mentioned that actions like constantly checking in, visiting, helping with chores, and cooking are signs of loyalty in a relationship.

The rapper’s candidness has sparked mixed reactions from his fans and the public. Some have expressed sympathy for his past heartaches, while others have shown support for his decision to remain single. “Wise man,” one commenter wrote, praising Stevo for his resilience and decision to take a break from relationships.

In a previous interview, Stevo also clarified his relationship with Pritty Vishy, asserting that it was more about chasing clout than genuine romantic involvement. He also claimed that many women are attracted to him primarily because of his appearance.

As Stevo focuses on his music career and personal growth, he has made it clear that he is not rushing into another romantic relationship anytime soon. His decision to prioritize self-care and distance from the drama of love life resonates with many of his fans, who continue to support him both in his personal and professional journey.

Stevo Simple Boy’s story is a reminder that everyone, regardless of their public persona, faces struggles in relationships. His decision to take a break from romance shows that healing from past betrayals is essential before entering a new chapter in life.
