1. Agile and simple design: 2. Consistent information: 3. Use keywords: 4. Strategic distribution: 5. Build a good image: 6. Don’t forget about Linkedin:

Developing a resume can become one of the biggest challenges when looking for work and the resume must quickly captivate employers, be colorful and easy to understand.

A resume can take several hours or even days to complete and is a very important part when looking for work. But how do we ensure that the information will match what human resources managers are looking for?

Here are six tips to develop a resume that recruiters do not miss:

1. Agile and simple design:

Check that the resume presentation is clear and consistent. It is recommended to use a single typeface (you can use bold to highlight) and bullet points to describe your skills, responsibilities, etc.

Usually a resume should not have more than two pages, because if it is very long it is likely to be discarded quickly.

2. Consistent information:

The congruence between achievements and skills is very relevant information in a resume. You should seek to facilitate the reading of the curriculum and include only the most important data of the training or challenges assumed.

If you had to change your university or career halfway, it is better not to mention it. In addition, check that the data is in chronological order and that there are no inconsistencies in terms of skills and responsibilities assumed.

3. Use keywords:

Due to the number of applications, recruiters do not usually read an entire curriculum, but instead look for details, qualities or achievements that stand out and fit the profile they are looking for.

It is recommended to include easily recognized keywords: job titles, projects and soft skills. The contractor will look for the main facts that show why a person is a good option for the position.

4. Strategic distribution:

A plan is needed to build the curriculum in the most optimal way. To do this, it is suggested to place the achievements and relevant experience in the front and center of the document.

It is recommended to ensure that the skills and abilities that best fit the job profile are easy to find on the resume.

5. Build a good image:

The curriculum is the cover letter and what will determine the next job. So you have to place a corporate image or according to the professional profile you want to project.

It is also advisable not to leave spaces inside. If you do not have much experience, fill those spaces with courses taken or describe the skills that stand out for that position.

6. Don’t forget about Linkedin:

Platforms like Linkedin have no space limitation and offer the possibility to develop in detail the professional experience, the achievements and the different research areas. You can even share photos or recommendations of people with whom you worked.

Adding the Linkedin profile link in the resume is a good way to offer more information to the interested recruiter. However, the connection between the two documents should not be neglected and ensure that there is always consistency between what is shared in each one.
