Triza Njeri, the first wife of gospel musician Karangu Muraya, has clarified that she is not clout chasing after publicly declaring that she is single. Her statement comes days after Karangu leaked an audio recording in which he was heard gossiping about her with friends.
The mother of three used her social media platforms to break the news, stating that she has walked away from a toxic marriage. She has since focused on rebuilding her brand and pursuing her music career. In one of her recent posts, Triza shared a studio photo, reaffirming her decision to leave a relationship where she felt disrespected.
Responding to claims that her announcement was a publicity stunt, Triza wrote,
“Na wale wa kwani ni clout chasing… Remember sikuwa na simu… Kuabishwa si kusema ukae tuu hapo… Lazima life isonge ama sivyo.”
The influencer and musician had previously called out both Karangu and his second wife, Carol Kim, accusing them of treating her with disrespect. However, she made it clear that she won’t continue to suffer or pity herself over the situation.
The post received supportive reactions online. Many of her followers praised her strength and encouraged her to keep moving forward.
After the audio leaked and went viral, Karangu Muraya issued a public apology to Triza. In a heartfelt letter, he admitted his wrongdoing and asked for forgiveness.
“You are the mother of my children. You deserve respect and protection from me, not pain… I am deeply sorry. From my heart, I am asking you to forgive me,” Karangu wrote.
Whether Triza will accept the apology remains uncertain. So far, she has not publicly responded to his plea.
Carol Kim, Karangu’s second wife, also addressed the situation briefly. Responding to accusations that she had withheld important documents belonging to Triza, Carol dismissed the claims and declined to share more, stating she felt her side would not be believed.
Triza Njeri continues to focus on her music and personal growth. For now, she remains firm in her decision to walk away from a marriage she believes no longer serves her peace or dignity.
