Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga could not hide their bitter rivalry even when they need to spare it for the sake of grief and laughter.
When the leader of opposition and Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, Morgan Tsvangirai passed on due to cancer, only Raila Odinga send in his condolence messages . Uhuru Kenyatta did not do so despite the fact that this was a Pan Africanist who contributed to the freedom of many Africans including Kenyans then during the struggle of independence.
I pray that the party he founded, the MDC, will hold firm and pursue the ideals he lived for. My family, our party the Orange Democratic Movement and the National Super Alliance join Mr. Tsvangirai’s family, the MDC and the people of Zimbabwe in mourning his death. pic.twitter.com/2y80Ob4nf3

Uhuru just ignored the very small but very vital issue that brings together all Africans, mourning fallen great Africans who fought for democracy.
On the other hand, Raila did not recognize and applaud the efforts of South Africa after it removed democratically a corrupt President who had failed to uphold the constitution instead he promoted corruption.
He would have just congratulated Cyril Ramaphosa on his election and applauded how South Africa’s democracy continua to mature to another new levels.
Ramaphosa has been a long friend to Raila Odinga than he is to Uhuru Kenyatta
Only Uhuru did so.

This kind of bitter rivalry is just senseless and means that the two leaders debate on personality rather than issues affecting Kenyans at large.
