Silas Miami’s reserved and humble nature makes him not the usual celeb you see on TV or hear on Radio.

Young and very talented, Silas is a well known filmmaker to boot.

Here are 10 facts about Silas Miami

  1. The Kenyan born artist lives in South Africa
  2. He works as a filmmaker, musician and photographer
  3. His most recent film was Supa Modo, filmed and shot in Kenya
  4. He submitted the film alongside Rafiki at the  91st Academy Awards (the Oscars baby)
  5. He is also the brainchild behind an award-winning photographic monograph, Onthou Atlantis
  6. He also released a great piece of art written in Kiswahili and English, EP, Withdrawal Symptoms
  7. His film Supa Modo has been submitted to to the 91st Academy Awards in the category of Best Foreign Film
  8. His film Supa Modo centres on a young little girl who suffers from cancer but wants to fight and come out as a hero
  9. Silas says that he want to be that artist who tell African stories that rather would not have been told by anyone else
  10. While growing up, his mother never wanted him to become an artist.
