Impala Saracens are mourning the death of their fullback defender Richard Akoth Sidindi aka Real Jadhah Power.
He died on 25th February 2019 in the morning while swimming at Impala Sports Club swimming pool, Nairobi.
“It appears that there was some swimming pool incident where Sidindi was alone but we are still gathering information on what really happened,” said Impala Saracens Director of Rugby, Fred Ollows, who was at Kilimani Police Station to record a statement.
“We shall definitely communicate when we get full details,” said Ollows, who was at the Police Station with first responders to the incident to record statements.

- In 2011, Richard left Kisumu Rugby Football Club for Impala where he has been playing for the last 8 years.
- His latest game was during last weekend when he featured in the second team that lost to Homeboyz 18-11 in the Eric Shirley Shield match.
- He was a university graduate with a degree in Information Technology from Maseno University
- At the time of his death, his club noted that he was a good and experienced swimmer.
- He also played at the national level during a game for Kenya Shujaa at Safari Sevens
- He went to Manyatta Primary School before getting O Level from St. Mary’s Yala in Siaya County
- He was described as a person with deep passion as a rugby player for man’s best friends-pet and love for humanity and great personality.
- He worked as an ICT consultant with Cytonn Investment, probably on part-time basis
- Other top firms he worked for before death included CoreTEC Systems and Solutions Ltd, Armada Human Capital
- Sidindi had just celebrated his birthday on 9th January 2019
