The National Youth Scandal that claimed loss of more than 9 billion shillings have left everyone’s eye-brows wide open except those who knows how the many vanished.

And since last week, at-least more than 22 key officers from NYS have been arrested and detained at Industrial Area police and Langa’ta women’s prison.
One of those detained is Permanent Secretary Lilian Omollo, who has already become a celebrity for the bad course.

- She is 44 years old born in 1974.
- Her official names are Lillian Wanja Muthoni Mbogo Omollo, taking the last name from her maiden husband.
- She has a Master of Education Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois, USA
- Also she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Kenyatta University
- She worked as chief executive of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD)
- In her 18 years career experience, she also worked with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a Project Manager
- Before her suspension she was working as Principal Secretary at Devolution ministry for more than 2 years
- She was brought up in the position to help fight corruption that had bedridden NYS in 2015
- She was highly commended by the National Assembly committe in 2015, A joint committee on the National Administration and Security Committee and the Labour Committee commended her saying: “…excellent communication and interpersonal skills as exhibited through her eloquence and articulation of issues.”
- Lillian and her other 22 suspects were placed under remant for a period of more than one week.
