10 Heartbreaking Similarities Between Late Cancer Trio Warriors Laboso, Bob Collymore And Ken Okoth

Whether death is reading this article or not, it should never be proud wherever it is, because one day it will also died a painful death.

In 2019, death has robbed three most prominent Kenyans, and we hope Joyce Laboso’s is the the final one

Below, we look at some of the saddening similarities between the deaths of Bob Collymore, Ken Okoth and Joyce Laboso.

Cancer

Safaricom CEO succumbed to leukemia, a dangerous type of cancer while Kibra MP Ken Okoth died from life sucking colon cancer. Joyce Laboso also died from undisclosed type of cancer.

Deaths in same month

Bob was the first to give up the fight on 1st July 2019, while Ken Okoth came second on 27th July 2019 then followed Joyce Laboso on 29th July 2019.

Died in Nairobi

Ken and Laboso both died while receiving treatment in an ICU unit at Nairobi Hospital, while Bob died at his home in Limuru

Lee Funeral

All the three bodies, were taken to Lee Funeral homes, before burial arrangements were made thereafter

Abroad Treatment

Bob Collymore took one year sick leave to receive treatment in UK, while Ken Okoth went to Paris, France and Laboso sought treatment in India and London.

Gave up the fight

Bob seemed to be the most prepared among the trio to die. Two days to his death, he even had a final get together party with his ‘boyclub’ where he bid farewell to them.

Ken Okoth, while at the ICU, he instructed the doctors to switch off life support machine and let him go.

Laboso had been let to have a bed rest at home, where she met her close family members before she left them in tears of great sadness

Died in prominent office

Laboso died while serving as a governor for Bomet county while Ken Okoth as Kibra MP and Bob as Safaricom CEO

Left behind a sad family

Bob , Ken and Laboso all left behind their spouses and lonely saddened kids

Showed up courage and determination

Apart from just leadership skills, they showed Kenyans determination to fight cancer for a long period of time before demise

Could afford huge medical bills, but still gave up to death

Their friends, family members and even government was willing to sponsor them until they survive cancer, but as satan will have it, cancer won the fight and robbed Kenyans three prominent leaders in just one month of July 2019 alone
