Basically defined, an engineer is a profession who makes your life easier and simple through science innovation and technology.
Jokingly, engineers make our lives easier by making their life difficult, this is due to the fact that they spent lots of time doing research and coming up with new methods to make life simple and much more easier than before.
This kind of cadre rarely sleep on their work, but if they do they mistakes are laid wide open before us.
We look at some of the hilarious engineering fails in Kenya.
1.Pangani mid-road sewage manhole
At Pangani police station, lies a manhole of a sewage line in the middle of the road. The manhole does not only pose as a great danger but also a sign of irresponsibility and carelessness from the engineer behind its design
2.Taj Mall Build on top of oil pipeline
Taj Mall, which was eventually demolished, was shockingly approved and built not on a road reserve, but also on an oil pipeline.
This is so health hazard and a very carelessly thought dangerous move by the engineers who overcame this challenge
3. Outering Road made with no footbridges
The long stretching Outering road connecting Mombasa Raod and Thika Road was shocking made without footbridges despite the fact that it was help hordes of Nairobin. However after cries footbridges were erected.
But initially it was meant to operate without use of footbridge as it looked from the beginning
4.Lorry Ferrying Mixer of construction material portions
This lorry trying to relocate materials has social media citizens puzzled over what the engineers were thinking about when they designed it.
5.Electricity Poles through the roofs
So far, this is one that stands out to be so ignorant from the engineers.
6.Hotel Bridge
There is also a hotel footbrige, which just ends where the water banks touch, spinning heads over its use and meaning
7.Kisii Bridge
Kisii Bridge sunk governors and other top officials who were inspecting it. It is hilarious how politicians felt the sense of their shoddy work
8.Sigiri Bridge
Sigiri brige fell off while still underway despite the fact it was worth 1.2 billion shillings.
9.Mutua Roads
Word has it that Governor Alfred Mutua roads were made in such a haste that they only had 6 months of expiry date
10.Most dangerous bedroom
This building has an electricyt pole supporter gong through the house, how mind blowing it is!
