When we see them they are already at the high threshold we place them. They not only have the money the fame but also look considerably different from when they were kids.
It is pretty hard to imagine what they were or even if they had normal childhoods. Such is their present glory it is easy to forget Local artistes and celebrities have come a long way to be where they are currently. Therefore in celebrating today’s Throwback Thursday we look at a couple of local celebrities how they were when they were young or just starting off.
Larry Madowo

I will still get you a picture of his childhood but it is his picture when he was just starting out at about twenty years. The oversized suit and hunched in shoulders portray the naivety and are a far cry from the suave, confident fellow now. It really was quite a start
Polycarp Otieno

The young boy in the pictures bares the traces of the current version of Polycarp and from the photo he was definitely Father’s pet while it seems the fingers began itching a bit too early.
Rabbit King Kaka

Growing up and landing some good chums is pretty important for polishing the look. It appears the head looking down pose started quite early as was the swag which now favors a polished look.
Kleptomaniax

One of the most famous boys groups to have emerged from the Kenyan music scene seems to have been buddies since at early time in age. They have now taken different paths but it is quite interesting to see how far they have come
Nameless

There is very little to compare about this nameless and the current aside from the consistent ability even now to always manage to look surprised even when intentionally posing for a photo
Mejja

The one thing this photo proves is that old habits die hard. Mejja will always be the story teller in the group.
Wahu

The same beautiful face Wahu has passed to her daughter is what she has maintained ever the years apparently. Trace in this photo and appreciate the powerful genes.
Kanze Dena

For all that the smiles and charming set of eyes, this Television queen was quite stone faced back then. I guess it comes with being a head girl. Here is Kanze back in class 8
Akothee

Akothee has come quite a long way. A really long way I have to repeat. Whatever her other experiences, she sure is grateful for the waist shaking session during rhumba sessions.
