1. Pray for your wife and children

2. Insist on a family devotional time
(showing spiritual leadership)

3. Enjoy her food and always remember to say “thank you” to her after every meal even if the food wasn’t too good in your opinion.(Never compare her food to that of your mother or grandmother. Understand that this generation is a fast food generation)

4. Help her with the house chores (She is not your slave)

5. Show her an unconditional love
(Women understand love as affection and attention)

6. Tell her “I love you” even when you don’t feel like especially after a serious argument (It helps to calm down nerves)

7. Provide for her and the children (Never forget to be transparent to her on financial issues. She will provide for the family when the need be)

8. Don’t impose your decisions on her. If you do that, she will always argue or disagree with you. Present your decisions as suggestions and allow her to also make her inputs (It helps to reduce tension)

9. Show her respect and never abuse her either physically or verbally. (She is not a politician or your opponent in a boxing ring.(Go and fight “Boko Haram” if you believe you are strong enough)

10. Always remember to find out from her how her day went (Praise her for her successes and encourage her on her failures).
