Main Kageni is renown Kenyan journalist. He host a programme at Classic 105, Nairobi based radio station. With his co-host Mwalimu Kingangi, the Breakfast Show is one of the most tuned in programme in Kenya. He advocates for woman equal treatment through his relationship topics. He is one of the journalist who has been able to have strong audience engagement with his fans. Through the programme they have gone a notch higher to counsel some of their fans that have been affected by relationship issues.

*These are some of facts about Maina:*

10. He is single and not in a relationship. Maina is one of the few Kenyan men who have attained forty years but have not married. He expresses his desire to have children but not to marry. He claims that the institution of marriage has changed while himself he has not changed. For one to marry, he suggests, one need to be in a long term relationship, something he has notdone and is not planning to do.

9. His dad died when he was still a toddler. He was brought up by his mother.His mother is the person he love most. He never had time with his dad. His mother is called Wangui

8. He has no education in Journalism nor Psychology. He is one of the highly paid journalism but without education background in media. After completing his high school education at Laiser Academy,he flew to United Kingdom, where he did all manners of jobs. He washed dishes, drove trucks and car dealing businesses. He then returned to Kenya, where he discovered
he had a a voice for radio when he went to do a voice over for a commercial at Capital FM Radio. He was then offered a job at Capital FM Radio.

7.He is a businessman majoring in real estate. He has estates in Miami and mortgage in Florida in United States of America. He has a couple of homes in Kenya and in the continent.

6.He loves whiskey. In his interview with Passion Magazine, Maina admits his love for whiskey. He said he has been drinking for 12 years, and he has no plans of ditching it. He claims he is not addicted and can leave whenever he wants. He confesses that he can spend his weekend indoors as long as he has a bottle of whiskey and a Nigerian movie to watch.

5. He is a philanthropist. In January this year, he made an initiative to raise funds to purchase cancer equipment for children with cancer in Kenyatta National Hospital. The fund raising was dabbed ”Be a a hero for the little hero”. The walk was aimed at raising 10 million Kenyan shillings; the drive was in conjunction with Eddah’s Hope Cancer Foundation
that was tasked with managing accounts for the money and overseeing procurement of the equipments.

4. He does not like suits. He loves casual clothes. Suits are vocabulary in his wardrobe. He loves casual, jeans,sneakers, tee shirts and tuxedo.

3. He owns a modeling agency in Lagos, he co-partners with one of the P-Square brothers in managing and overseeing the agency.

2. He is a Manchester United fan. He loves Manchester United Football team, in fact he has even watched live Manchester game at Old Trafford in U.K. He even has touched the English Premier League Cup.
