For this reason, an Effective Study Guide was developed, which will allow you to expand your knowledge about the general conditions of study, time planning, study materials and techniques, as well as the resolution of the exams.

1. Avoid being distracted

When studying, always keep in mind that you should avoid being distracted by phone calls, movies or other television programs, text messages, the internet, videos, music, PC games or some kind of console or other interruptions.

2. Take regular breaks

You should consider and try to take, as far as possible, intervals of five or ten minutes after each study period, more or less every 45 or 50 minutes.

3. Highlight important content

When you are studying, highlight or point out all the content that you think is relevant and important for the subject that will appear in the exams. Remember that you should avoid doing this in the initial reading, as it is likely to highlight too much content and it will only hinder your goal.

4. Classify information

Classify and rank the information, you can and should do it using different colors or types of notes.

5. Integrate the material if you study in a group

If studying in a group, it is necessary for everyone to attend the meetings after having read or studied in a personal way. At the end of the meeting, you must individually integrate the subject matter of study.

6. Eat well and healthy

We all know the saying: “A healthy mind in a healthy body”, so never forget to eat well and healthily all your meals.

7. Resting is healthy

Rest the time necessary to be able to restore energies, both physical and psychological, it is recommended between 7 and 8 hours. Remember that sleep allows you to consolidate learning.

8. Never study at the exam time

You should avoid going over the material just a few minutes before the exam, this type of attitude will only create peaks of anxiety that can translate into too much nervousness and even the famous “white” when taking the exam.

9. Read the exam carefully

It is important to take a quick look at the exam and read all the questions carefully before starting to answer. As far as possible, you should evaluate what is easier for you and start right there. Then, calmly, go to the most difficult questions with time to spend.

10. Assess the difficulty of the exam

Following the previous point, you should take into account the time, the difficulty of the question and the score attributed to it, only afterwards you should start to solve the questions. Remember, haste can lead to mistakes.
