15 Students Who Topped KCSE Since 1989 And Their Profession Today

Ever wondered where KCSE’s top best students who emerge first are doing today? Well at the end of this article you’ll have a different mind

Where Kenya’s best and brightest high school brains ended up. Here below are the answers

  1. 1989- KCSE Naaem Samnakay (Alliance High School), top student in 1989- He is now a pediatric surgeon in Australia.
  2. 1990 KCSE- David Were (Starehe), he is now an engineer in America.
  3. 1991- Humphrey Wattanga( Alliance High School). He went to Harvard & is now in a leading insurance company in South Africa.
  4. 1992- David Tengetta. (Mangu High School)- He is an engineer in America.
  5. 1993- Kaniaru Wacieru (Alliance High School)- He went to Harvard and is now working in Wall Street.
  6. 1994- Kirimania Muriithi (Alliance High School). He went to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Now a computer engineer in America.
  7. 1995- James Mwangi (Alliance High School), went to Harvard. Now a management consultant in South Africa.
  8. 1997- Mwashuma Nyatta (Alliance High School), went to Harvard, now works for Soft Bank as Latin America as head of startups.
  9. 1998- Timothy Thairu (Alliance High School). Went to Harvard, now a computer engineer in America.
  10. 1999- Samuel Gikandi (Alliance High School). Went to MIT, worked for Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong, before confounding Africa’s talking. A board member of Stanbic Bank.
  11. 2000- Dhar Tishampati (Mangu High School)- Went to Adelaide university in Australia. Now a defense systems engineer in Australia.
  12. 2005- James Kandie Rotich. Went to Kabarak High School. Enrolled in MIT and is now an engineer at Google.
  13. 2011-Job Nalianya went Stanford University to pursue a degree in electrical engineering – In 2017, he completed his degree and jumped right into a master’s in the same course; he now works as an integrated circuits designer in Texas
  14. 2012 Tony Edgar (RIP) – We t to Maseno and did Electrical engineering at Yale university.
  15. 2013-Tom Wanderi : Studied at Alliance then proceeded to Princeton University.
