Popular Kenyan media personality Amina Abdi Rabar has left many shocked after sharing a deeply emotional and unsettling message ahead of the nationwide protests set for Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The protests, organized to honor the lives lost during last year’s anti-Finance Bill demonstrations, have stirred both fear and resilience among young Kenyans.

Amina, known for her vibrant hosting of The Trend, posted a video from a flower shop revealing that she had taken her eulogy photos. Dressed in a dark purple suit with floral details and a white shirt, Amina’s post quickly went viral, with many Kenyans reacting emotionally to her bold statement. In her caption, she wrote, “I have already taken my eulogy shoot. Let’s meet for the protest wantam,” signaling her readiness for whatever may come on the protest day.

In another clip, Amina encouraged fellow Kenyans to show up in solidarity, saying, “Let’s meet in town. It will be safe InshaAllah.” Her message has resonated with many, especially the Gen-Z demographic, who are at the heart of the current wave of activism in Kenya.

The growing anxiety around the protests has also led to increased engagement with Ann Mwangangi, a viral Kenyan mortician. Mwangangi recently revealed that young Kenyans have been sending her KSh 1,000 deposits, essentially booking space at her morgue ahead of the protests. She shared that her phone has been flooded with inquiries about morgue storage fees and related services—a sad reflection of the nation’s current mood.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, pastor Joseck Omwasi urged Kenyan youth to shift their focus from fear of death to hope and resilience. “Let us not walk into Wednesday with the spirit of death hanging over us, but rather with the full armor of God. Your life matters to God and to all of us. Prepare to survive, to heal, and to help rebuild this nation,” he said.

The unsettling combination of eulogy photo shoots, morgue bookings, and farewell messages circulating online highlights the seriousness with which young Kenyans are taking this moment in the country’s political history. As the nation braces for another day of demonstrations, Amina Abdi Rabar’s message stands as both a stark warning and a powerful call for unity and courage.
