According to the teaching of the bible, a good Samaritan is basically a strange who doesn’t need to be rich or able to help a lone poor strange who is looking for such much needed help.
Good Samaritans come from all and sundry, in 2017 we saw a remarkable number of cases that agrees to this crucial bible teaching.
1.Wanja.
When Wanja Mwaura met a street boy only identified as Mr.Hinga, he was in a pool of rusty litters, with his head messed with drug abuse.
She never said hi and moved on, the man he was looking at was his former classmate, she never late the abused drugs win the battle.
Today, she feels proud, little did she know that her acts of compassion won so many hearts on social media when she shared photos which went viral.
Wanja is a true living testimony of what Jesus teaches Christians in the new testament. Her acts actually have inspired so many.
“Hinga’s week 5 at retreat rehab centre
Today i went visiting hinga at the rehab. He’s doing much better and really focused. His will power to overcome drug addiction is encouraging. All glory and honor belongs to god.”
2.Matatu tout
If you thought there were no good Samaritans in the Matatu industry, you might be wrong.
An unfortunate lady accounts to having dropped a phone on her way to Nairobi, she was not only surprised to recover her phone but was very thankful.
“Last Friday, I was travelling to Nairobi from Limuru. I had boarded a Likambu sacco matatu KBZ 867W. As I was alighting, I dropped my phone and only realised it when I arrived home.
The next day, I went to their offices and I was surprised when I found my phone well- kept! Apparently, the driver, Eliud Njuguna had kept it. I celebrate him,” she said.
3.Nyaguthi
A woman by the name, Nyaguthi, ferried a 107 old lady to Madaraka day celebrations in Nyeri, which was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Apparently, the century old Gladys Kagure is nowhere related to Nyaguthi, the two met first on the day Kenya became independent, 1st June 2017.
“Actions speak louder than words…Share widely…Am seeking your help in tracing this lady who I captured while carrying her elderly mother to Kabiru – ini showground for the Madaraka day celebrations on June 1, 2017…..
Someone in the government recognized her noble deed and would like to meet her urgently.
If you know her or someone who might assist in reaching her kindly call/text me on 0720274075 my name is Mose Sammy. Your help is highly appreciated in advance God Bless,” Mose Sammy the photographer who took the pic posted on Facebook.
The Good Samaritan was traced and awarded for her heroics
4.Vince
There was a time, a man by the name Vince Dancer, he picked a whooping 200K and returned it to the owner.
He is now broke and begging on the streets of Nairobi, then he was regarded as the most kind person in Nairobi.
TODAY IN THE AFTERNOON, OUR BUSINESS NEEDED TO TAKE THE DAY CASH TO THE BANK, IT WAS AROUND 4PM. LIKE ALWAYS, I PICKED UP A BAG, PLACED AROUND 700K IN, UNFORTUNATELY, TODAY, THERE WERE LOTS OF 500/200 NOTES SO THE STASH TOOK UP MORE SPACE THAN NORMAL.
EACH BUNDLED INTO 100K AS ALWAYS, PRESSED IN THE BAG AND HEADED ON TO THE BANK. ON THE WAY HOWEVER, THE ZIPPER ON THE BAG CAVED IN AND SPAT OUT 2 BUNDLES OF NOTES ~ 200K.
DIDN’T NOTICE IT, PROCEEDED TO CROSS THE ROAD FROM KIMATHI STREET HEADED TO KENYATTA AVENUE.
It should be noted that Nairobi is a city where even a thieves’ catching machine can go missing, he was totally an angel in the midst of wolves!
“HIS NAME IS VINCENT AN ALUMNI OF ST. PAUL’S UNIVERSITY LIMURU. HE IS KNOWN TO BE A KIND PERSON SINCE SCHOOL TIME, I PERSONALLY SCHOOLED WITH HIM. GUYS FROM ST. PAUL’S UNIVERSITY ARE TRYING TO HELP HIM, HE HAS A VERY SAD STORY BEHIND HIS SMILE. HE IS A GRADUATE IN BBIT.
Though he had been undergoing a rehab, he is one of the unlucky persons not to get a well wisher unlike such people like Githeri Man , 100 Bob wedding couple or even the Bungoma and Meru James bond
Hi guys yea yea it’s me Vinny aka Don who returned 200,000 4 months ago I know up to now i still say the Lord has his miraculous ways of working so I chose Rehab for treatment first so now it’s back to the real world recovery is a process and believe me the hardest process I’ve ever gone through but i Pray that God aendelee kukuwa na mimi. i thank all my social media fans, if now only i had a permanent job or atleast something to give me rent, fare and food clothing will come in time but i THANK you all and hope for your continued support I LOVE YOU all and May God Bless you.”
