Among the goals of this new year, many us intended to take exams, take a new subject, why not, put the long-awaited end point to the race.

However, although setting ambitious goals is something to be proud of, it is also important to distinguish those situations in which life asks us to turn our eyes away from books and pay attention to the world around us.

Next, we present 6 situations or moments in which the race should take a back seat:

1. HEALTH AND PERSONAL WELL-BEING

Nothing is ahead of the care of our physical and emotional integrity. If we have a health problem, we must deal with that immediately by postponing any other issue in our lives, including the career. In fact, we will not be able to perform at the optimum level at the University.

2. HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE PEOPLE WE LOVE

If a family member is sick and their condition is serious, then nothing will be more important than their situation.

We must leave everything to help in whatever is necessary and to devote as much time as we can to be with that person we love so much.

3. MOMENTS AND UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES OF LIFE

There are sensations and experiences that life offers us only once, so you have to know how to take advantage of it. We talk about taking a trip, meeting someone in particular, listening to your favorite live band or participating in a special project, for example.

It is these unique experiences and sensations that enrich life; If you do not take advantage of them, you will always regret it.

4. DO NOT LIVE IN THE ACADEMIC BUBBLE

Although all of the above seems easy to say, the challenge is to identify the exact moments in which we need to put a stop to the study.

For this, it is necessary to understand that the university is only one aspect in our lives. Although it is okay to immerse yourself in the academic world when studying, remember that life goes by quickly and there are moments that never recover.
