Harambee Stars, Kenya’s national football team’s hopes have been deflated and punctured early enough by amateur errors made on Wednesday defeat. Come on Sunday, Harambee Stars will be trailing behind against a lowly Guinea Bissau courtesy of the head coach Stanley Okumbi and FKF chairman Nick Mendwa.

The most painful situation is knowing that the blunders that led to the stars mutilation could have been avoided in an obvious and easy way possible for the newly both appointed officials.

  1. Fielding players out of position- playing James Situma a right footed defender as a left back exposed his inexperience and lack of shrewdness to handle strong games. He did this at the expense of the able bodied and fit left back Dennis Odhiambo and Omar Mbongi. The LBs are both experienced.

The same mistake was translate to Mohammed Musa who is a Centre Back with Gor Mahi, he was obnoxiously switched to right back.

  1. Fielding young inexperience Players- social media has laced him with enough humiliation for committing such a lifeline mistake. He gave debuts to Patillah Omotto and Ovella Ochieng’ who are just teenagers dressed in adult clothes.

While it became undeniable that the teenagers who comes from Kariobangi Sharks first division club are Nick Mendwa’s project because he solely own the club, they totally didn’t commit any mistake since they couldn’t reject the offer but Kenyan football fans continue to feel the pinch of the painful poor leadership of favorism and corruption at the excellence of corrupt eternal officials.

  1. Errors resulting to a direct goal which came from directly pushing Musa as a right back a position he is not familiar with, a long ball could not be stopped by the Gor Mahia Centre Back that was headed at the back of the net. The goal was surely a lone goal of Stanley Okumbi.

  1. No pressing football, The stars should have settled for a draw as the worst result, come home, the Guinea Bissau will be a goal ahead where else stars could have had a better chance of their own and even gone ahead to seal a lead. Guinea Bissau is definitely a lowly team compared to Ghana.

  1. Poor tactics that could not Exploit of ace talents, He is surely blessed with the like of Victor Wanyama who plays for the English club Southampton and Michael Olunga, Arnold Origi just to name a few. Kenya’s side had surely a good number of talents being exploited on international arena compared to the rivals side. The buck now stops with his poor tactics to drive for a competitive win.
