Relevant information to consider and compile for the application, then, what are the most common mistakes to avoid in this whole process?

  1. Commit yourself before you are ready

Your choice of university will have a great impact, not only on your education and professional future, but on who you will be as a person.

This is why it is important that, before any decision, you analyze all options very seriously.

In case you are not yet decided on what you want to do in your future, it is preferable that you take some time (such as a semester or sabbatical year) to make sure you do the right thing.

  1. Do not handle expectations with realism

The postulation to higher education requires great attention to detail and a lot of perseverance. So make sure you fully understand what you are expected to deliver.

Do you include everything that has been requested? Do not you need to stamp any document? Did you support the originals before delivering them? Does it comply with the extension and format indicated?

  1. Wait until the last moment

In case they ask for a personal presentation or portfolio, finding the motivation to prepare them can be a challenge in itself, but taking a long time in it can be highly prejudicial for several reasons.

Certain college slots fill up quickly and require you to submit your application as soon as possible.

You can also face delays beyond your control, especially when applying to a program in another country, such as a visa.

Delivering your application with time gives you room for maneuver in case you face an unforeseen event that puts your project at risk.

  1. Trust yourself too much

It is good to have confidence, but trust without sustenance, that is to be arrogant and expect to be accepted just because you have good grades, it is a sure way to fail in your goal.

That is why it is convenient that you consider other options in case you are not selected in the institution of your dreams.

  1. Let people advice you instead of making a choice for you

If you write and think about something for a long time, sometimes it starts to become a huge tangle of disconnected phrases and ideas.

When you write your application or portfolio, ask for advice from trusted people to read and give you ideas on how to improve them.

Of course, the responsibility rests only with you, but having the support of teachers, family, friends when reviewing your application can be very helpful.

It is also useful to visit to study fair, where expert educational advisers and representatives of various institutions with international recognition can guide you to complete your application in the best way.
