National Transport and Safety Authority alias NTSA has already rolled out the new Smart Driving License issuance and all drivers are expected to abide by the regulation ASAP.

Here are 10 facts you need to know about the new driving license.
- All drivers who need to apply are first required to visit Transport Information Management System (TIMS)- a self-service portal on the NTSA website
- The new license will cost sh.3000 for three year renewal as opposed to the current which required only sh.1,500
- The license, smart in nature will have an electronic chip with key driver’s info
- The driver’s will have key info such as Kenya Revenue Authority PIN, ID Number and blood group
- The issuance was rolled out in 2018 March.
